Alcove Furniture

We create modern, sleek designs that integrate your TV and media while providing much needed storage. Ceiling height and room proportion are always taken into consideration when designing your furniture. The interior architectural features (fireplaces, dado rails, mouldings) and style of a home are equally important when producing designs to fit your space. We work closely with the client to come up with the right solution and we produce 3D drawings to give a preview of what the finished product will look like.

Gianfranco Alcoves

These alcoves represent a mix of the modern and the traditional. The fronts of the units carry down in a continuous line which is very pleasing to the eye. What is lost in the interior space of the lower cabinets with doors is gained in style. Small touches like the beading along the inside of the trims and the protruding detail on the doors give an overall touch of luxury.

Pim street alcoves

Floor to ceiling floating shelves in one alcove provide all the space needed to display an ample book collection while the other alcove makes space for the fish tank and it accessories.

Killiney storage wall and TV display

Extra wide wall of storage in hand painted white with solid oak counter top. Designed to hide all of the associated tv and media boxes.

Made to measure shelves to accommodate B&W speakers and arcam amplifiers.

Cowper alcove

The long and narrow nature of this living room dictated that the TV could not sit in the alcove and still remain useful. The alcove has a low storage unit with drawers and floating shelves above while the TV is brough out into the room for more comfortable viewing. The TV is mounted on a custom made fake wall that sucessfully hides all the wiring as well as giving a solid structure for the TV to hang from.

Malahide alcoves

This neat scheme incorporates low cabinets with mesh doors to allow remote control access to the TV boxes. The floating shelves utilise the full width of the alcoves.

Goliath Alcoves

It’s a big one! Floor to Coving alcove units made to client specifications. The room height here was over 3.5 metres and called for two huge units incorporating book storage and shallow drawers in the in-frame style. Made in MDF and ready for painting.

Dvd alcoves

With an enormous DVD collection and nowhere to put it these shallow alcoves designed themselves. The units themselves are future proofed in that doors can be added if the client ever decided they wanted to close off the space.

Frank Alcove

This alcove posed a new problem for us due to the length of the room, the shallowness of the alcove and the fact that the window came so close
to the back wall. Our solution was to angle the unit out from the shallow alcove side to the opposite wall and then to reverse that angle for the floating shelves stopping them three quarters of the way to the window.

Rathfarnham Alcoves

Floor to ceiling built in alcove units here accommodate a TV on top of a low cabinet integrated with bookshelves above. The second alcove unit hides a radiator below the wide built in bookcase above.
